For your body

Kundalini Awakening

Working with the body's deeper energy. Gently.

If you came looking for this by name, you may have seen the dramatic version online — the shaking, the overwhelming surges, the warnings. Set that aside for a moment. The way Anand works with Kundalini is quiet, slow, and safe: less an awakening you brace for, more a settling the body has been waiting to do.

What Kundalini awakening actually is

Kundalini is an old Sanskrit word for the body's own life energy — the vitality that's meant to flow freely through you and that, under years of stress, exhaustion, and held tension, can become stuck or sluggish. “Awakening” it simply means helping that energy move and circulate the way it's supposed to. There's nothing supernatural being added to you; this is about clearing what's blocking what's already there.

The version that gets shared online — the convulsions, the intensity, the cautionary stories — is real for a small number of people, usually those who force the process through aggressive practices without guidance. That is not how Anand works, and it isn't what you'll experience here. His approach is deliberately gentle and incremental, paced entirely to what your body can comfortably integrate. The aim isn't a dramatic event; it's steady relief — energy returning, tension loosening, a body that finally feels like home again.

You don't need to understand the metaphysics, or believe in chakras, or hold any particular worldview for this to help. If the language of “energy” sits uneasily with you, think of it as deep nervous-system work: settling the body out of its chronic braced, depleted state so its natural vitality can come back. The framework matters far less than the felt result, and the result is something you can simply notice for yourself.

How Anand came to this work

This is where Anand's training runs deepest, and it's worth knowing where it comes from. He studied directly, in person, under Mahaguru Mangku Alit Ajna in Tabanan, Bali — a recognized master in a living healing tradition, not a weekend course or an online certification. “Mahaguru” means great teacher; “Mangku” is a Balinese title for a consecrated spiritual practitioner. This was apprenticeship in the older sense: time, presence, and direct transmission from teacher to student.

The lineage Anand trained in, JNANA Kanda, is a Balinese path of healing and self-knowledge — jñāna is the Sanskrit word for knowledge or inner wisdom. Within it, working with the body's energy isn't a performance or a dramatic spectacle; it's a careful, respectful craft refined over generations, always centered on the wellbeing of the person receiving it. That ethic — gentleness, patience, never forcing — is exactly what distinguishes Anand's Kundalini work from the intense version that frightens people away.

Anand is also a trained clinical hypnotherapist, which keeps this work grounded. He's careful never to overclaim, never to mystify, and always to be honest about what energy work can and can't do — and about when a doctor or therapist should be your first stop instead.

What happens in a session

Arrival.

We start by talking — how your energy and body have actually been, what's depleted or held, any questions about the process. Nothing begins until you understand what's about to happen and feel ready for it.

Settling.

Rather than a dramatic induction, Anand guides you into deep rest — slow breath, a calm and supported position, the nervous system allowed to stand down. This first quieting is itself part of the work.

The energy work.

Gently and incrementally, Anand works to help your stuck or sluggish energy begin to move and circulate again. People feel this differently — warmth, a soft tingling, a wave of release, a deep heaviness lifting. It is consistently gentle, and the pace is always yours.

Integration.

We ease back slowly, with time to rest and to talk through what you noticed. You're given simple guidance for the hours afterward, since the settling often continues quietly once you've left.

What this helps with

  • Burnout — restoring vitality when you've been running on empty for so long that rest alone no longer seems to refill the tank.
  • Tension — releasing the chronic physical tightness the body keeps holding long after the stress that caused it has passed.
  • Fatigue — helping a depleted, low-energy system find its way back to a steadier baseline of aliveness.
  • Disconnection — easing the numb, “not quite in my body” feeling and helping you inhabit yourself again.
  • Stress — clearing the stress that has lodged physically — in the shoulders, the gut, the breath — rather than just in the mind.

What people say

Questions people ask

I'm skeptical about “energy work.” Can this still help me?

Yes, and skepticism is welcome here. You don't have to adopt any belief system or accept any metaphysics for this to do something. If “energy” isn't a word that works for you, think of it as deep nervous-system and tension release — settling a body that's been chronically braced and depleted. What matters is the felt result, which you're free to simply observe and judge for yourself, not the framework around it.

Is it safe?

Yes. The frightening stories online almost always involve people forcing the process through intense, unguided practices. Anand's approach is the opposite: slow, gentle, incremental, and paced entirely to what your body can comfortably handle, with a trained practitioner present the whole time. As with all of his work, it's a complement to medical care, not a replacement — and he'll flag it honestly if something should be seen by a doctor first.

Isn't Kundalini supposed to be intense and overwhelming?

That's the version that spreads online, and it's not how this is done. Anand deliberately works in the gentle tradition he was trained in — the goal is steady relief and a body that feels more settled, never a dramatic or destabilizing event. Most people find the sessions calming and restful rather than intense.

Do I need any experience, practice, or preparation?

None at all. You don't need to meditate, do yoga, follow a practice, or know anything about chakras or Sanskrit. You arrive as you are; Anand guides the whole thing. The only useful preparation is a willingness to rest and let your body lead.

What will I actually feel during a session?

It varies from person to person and session to session. Common experiences include warmth, a soft tingling or pulsing, a sense of heaviness lifting, gentle waves of release, or simply very deep relaxation. Some people feel a lot, others feel mostly calm — both are completely normal, and neither means it's “working” more or less.

Is this religious? Do I have to follow a particular faith?

No. The tradition has roots in Balinese spiritual practice, but the work Anand offers is not a religion and asks nothing of your beliefs. People of every faith and of no faith receive it. You're never asked to worship anything, convert to anything, or adopt any doctrine — this is about your body and your energy, full stop.

When you're ready

There's no urgency here, and no pressure to decide today. If your body has been asking for something you can't quite name, the gentlest first step is a short, honest conversation — no cost, no obligation.
